do I need to get started?
You do not need to know your diagnosis or treatment goals to get in
touch-this is often a big part of our initial work together. All
you have to know is what in your life is concerning or confusing to
you. Get in touch and we'll gladly provide a brief, initial phone
consultation to address any questions you might have.
Do you accept my insurance?
Like most private practitioners in New York City, the doctors of
the Williamsburg Therapy Group are out-of-network providers. That
means we do not accept insurance directly. However, we make the
reimbursement process as turnkey as possible by providing all the
necessary paperwork, including receipts and diagnosis codes, in a
timely fashion.
Will I get reimbursed?
It is our experience that most patients are reimbursed for 50 to
80% for the cost of their sessions if they have out-of-network
mental health coverage. It is helpful to call individual insurance
providers to determine level of coverage in advance. Most are
pleasantly surprised.
How does the reimbursement
process work?
At the end of each month, a statement of services will be provided
to you in person or via email. This form should be submitted to
your insurance company, along with a health insurance claim form,
to receive payment. Most insurance carriers process each claim like
any other medical claim. Should any questions arise about services,
please feel free to have them contact your therapist directly.
What are the Services and Fees?
Brief phone consultation
In a complimentary brief conversation, our client coordinator can guide you through the services we offer and
assist you in finding the best plan and provider in our group for your needs and preferences.
Psychotherapy
Our licensed staff psychologists fees range from $255-$405/session, comparable with other doctoral level
psychologists in the New York city area. Our postdoctoral psychologists work at $180/session. This includes
Individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and business partner therapy.
Psychiatry and Medication Management
The initial session is a one hour in office or teletherapy medical evaluation and includes education about your
treatment options, a discussion about the treatment plan and the anticipated frequency of follow up
appointments, as well as time to answer your questions. The initial 60 minute session is $460 and the
subsequent meetings for medication management are $360 for a 30 minute follow up session.
Group Psychotherapy

Neuropsychological Evaluation
Neuropsychological evaluations are tailored to the unique needs and presenting problems of each individual.
Fees will vary depending on the services needed, but will be discussed during the initial consultation. Please
call us for additional information about this service.
How does the Patient Portal help?
The Williamsburg Therapy Group offers a new online tool to provide you with information about your upcoming and past appointments, manage payments, view and print invoices, as well as access our exclusive and secure teletherapy service. Our Patient Portal can be accessed from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
How do I meet my therapist for a
Teletherapy appointment?
1. On the top right of our website, select the
Patient Portal from our menu.
2. Follow the prompts to create an account, if you do not already have one.
3. Once logged in to the
Patient Portal you will see a list of your upcoming appointments.
4. At the time of your session you will see a “Start Online Session” appear.
5. Click on the “Start Online Session” button and your therapist will join you shortly.
How do I access my invoice?

3. Select the desired date range, generate and download
