What do I need to get started?
You do not need to know your diagnosis or treatment goals to get started. All you have to know is what in your life is concerning or confusing to you. Get in touch and we'll gladly provide a brief, initial phone consultation to address any questions you might have.

Do you accept my insurance?
The doctors at Williamsburg Therapy Group are out-of-network providers. That means we do not accept insurance directly. However, we make the reimbursement process as turnkey as possible by providing all the necessary paperwork, including receipts and diagnosis codes, in a timely fashion.

Will I get reimbursed?
This will depend on a few factors that are specific to your insurance policy:

Does your policy provide for Out-of-Network benefits?

Do you have to first meet a deductible AND is this deductible separate from your in-network deductible?
It is our experience that most patients are reimbursed for 50 to 80% of the cost of their sessions if they have out-of-network mental health coverage.

How does the reimbursement process work?
You may be eligible for reimbursement but may need to check with your insurance company.
If you are, your invoices are available for you to access at your convenience through our Patient Portal. This form should be submitted to your insurance company, along with a health insurance claim form, to receive payment. Most insurance carriers process each claim like any other medical claim. Should any questions arise about services, please feel free to have them contact your therapist directly.
Even if you're not eligible for reimbursement, you may still want to engage therapists with WTG, given their high degree of training and professionalism. Many patients prefer to keep their insurance out of the business of their therapy. -
How does the Patient Portal help?
The Williamsburg Therapy Group offers a new online tool to provide you with information about your upcoming and past appointments, manage payments, view and print invoices, as well as access our secure teletherapy sessions. Our Patient Portal can be accessed from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.

How do I meet my therapist for a Teletherapy appointment?
You can find your doctor's Zoom link on your appointment confirmation and reminder emails when scheduled for an online therapy appointment.
